Helea is an innovative Greek boutique, specializing in exports of top quality extra virgin olive oil and olive products in general, targeting distributors of high-end specialty foods and gourmet retailers. Helea is a private partnership of young entrepreneurs, founded in 2012. Our vision was to share our common passion for Greek olive oil with the whole world. We also wanted to highlight the deep roots of olive oil in the culture, the everyday life and the history of the Greek people. At Helea we believe that olive oil has the taste of life: sometimes it is sweet, and sometimes it is bitter.
What we would like to accomplish through Helea is not to deliver just another olive oil but spread an olive oil related culture all over the world by sharing our beliefs about olive oil and about life.
For our flagship product (Helea Premium EVOO) we are sourcing olive oil with remarkably high content of polyphenols (responsible for the anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory attributes of the olive oil) as analyzed and certified by the University of Athens. We choose to source from producers that meet our high quality standards and embrace our philosophy. At the same time we think of them as partners rather than suppliers, and publicly acknowledge our collaboration. We also take pride in our expert partners’ network that consists of chemists, production consultants, and certified tasters. Their passion, expertise and life long experience is one of the elements that differentiate Helea and guarantee that we will deliver on our promise to source only the best from each year’s production.
For the packaging of our products we are using only top quality materials in a minimal yet practical design philosophy that has been recently enjoyed international recognition through the reddot design award for our Helea Premium EVOO.
Our products can be found in an increasing selection of delicatessens and gourmet stores, as well as luxury hotels in Greece and Europe. We are also actively engaged in the corporate gift market segment. Our target for the following years is to expand to the challenging markets of Asia and North America.
