Ikaros Publications
The Ikaros Publishing Company was founded in 1943, and is considered to be a pioneer in literature and book design.
It is the exclusive publisher of the two Greek Nobel prize winners, George Seferis and Odysseus Elytis. Throughout the years, Ikaros has mainly specialized in Greek poetry and its editions often include paintings of well known, established artists. One can find the works of great poets, writers and thinkers of the current and previous century, like C.P.Cavafy, Dionissios Solomos, Angelos Sikelianos, Nikos Karouzos, Nikos Eggonopoulos, Kiki Dimoula, and many others.
In these challenging times for Greece, Ikaros decided to invest in the future by embracing the world of children’s books. Employing the strict criteria and profound values that are reflected in all its publications, Ikaros selects books based on the educational trait, the rich content and the meticulous illustration, all adding up to a seductive ensemble that attract  young readers into the magical world of reading, combining literature with creative and highly aesthetic illustration.
