GAEA
Keeping true to the values of the healthy Greek Mediterranean diet, and drawing inspiration from the pure products that grow from the blessed Greek soil, Gaea combines tradition and innovation to bring consumers around the world a unique culinary experience by offering a selection of only the best, natural products the country has to offer.

Gaea was founded in 1995 to give a brand identity to traditional Greek products globally, and tirelessly pursues its vision of becoming the top Greek Brand name in today’s global food arena, synonymous with high quality, tradition, authenticity and innovative Greek specialty foods, simultaneously promoting and educating the world about the repeatedly proven health benefits of the real Greek Mediterranean cuisine-meze.

Gaea’s olive oils are the most awarded olive oils in the world. Not only for their excellent quality and taste, but also for their innovation, since they are the first Carbon Neutral olive oils in the world. Gaea, in cooperation with the Swiss nonprofit organization “myclimate”, has minimized its impact on the environment through projects and activities that offset the carbon emissions emitted for the production of its olive oils. Furthermore, GAEA has introduced the innovative Olives in Snack Packs, totally natural with no liquid preservatives and the lowest salt levels you can find.

Gaea recently developed the “cooperation” concept, working together with other Greek companies producing high quality products, helping them to export these products through Gaea’s international network. These synergies created, among others, the first private joint venture company with an agricultural cooperation while the outcome of this effort, the Gaea-Kritsa Extra Virgin Olive Oil, has won numerous awards. Moreover Gaea supports , through sharing the sale proceeds of the Gaea-Vranas extra virgin olive oil, the Vranas' Olive Press Museum, an olive press that Odysseas Elytis’s (Nobel Prize in literature 1979) grandfather created in 1887, and represents of the most important relics of Greece’s industrial history.

What makes Gaea unique is the combination of the numerous awards, the commitment to innovation, corporate and social responsibility and development in the international business environment, along with a dedicated group of people who share the company’s values and passion for excellence. This uniqueness was recognized in the 2011 European Business Awards, where Gaea was awarded the Ruban d 'Honneur Award in the category Import / Export, among 15,000 companies across Europe. Gaea is to represent Greece as one of the final 100 businesses in the 2012/13 Awards programme, and will now go on to compete in the final round of the competition, in a bid to become one of the ten overall winners to be announced at a gala event in April 2013.
